Our Mission
Midland Trail Community Center’s mission is to be a gathering place for
educational, recreational, and social activities in the community in
order to enrich the lives of those within the area.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide the people of Fayette County an area to enjoy the provided amenities and bring the Midland Trail community together. We invest in our kids and our seniors, and do what we can to maintain pride in our community. The Midland Trail Community Center is constantly improving and growing with the dedicated support of our community.
Who We Are
Before Midland Trail Community Center was pioneered, the buildings originally served as Ansted Middle School. At the end of the 2017-2018 school year, the school shut down, leaving behind the old building and field. On May 29th, 2018, however, with a vote of 4-1, the Fayette County Board of Education decided to transfer ownership of the facilities to MTCC to create a community center that would benefit all the Midland Trail community. First, the community center started with supporting youth sports. Then, MTCC moved towards working with businesses that serve educational, health, or other community-based purposes. Now standing proud as a gathering place for the community for over 5 years, the Midland Trail Community Center has flourished with the help of the community, who have volunteered in multiple projects like installing the gym lights and cleaning up and adding improvements to the field. The community center is the result of the people of Midland Trail coming together to support each other’s health and happiness.
